Lo que inicialmente fue concebido como una maqueta del ARA San Juan, submarino clase TR 1700 de la Armada Argentina, terminó convirtiéndose en un pequeño diorama que recrea una de las escenas que veo casi a diario en mi ciudad. Al buque finalmente lo representé amarrado en la dársena de submarinos de la Base Naval de Mar del Plata, realizando en scratch todos los componentes del trabajo.
What initially was conceived as a model of the ARA San Juan, a TR 1700 class submarine of the Argentine Navy, ended becoming in a small diorama that recreates a scene that I see almost daily in my city. I finally represented the ship docked at the Mar del Plata Naval Base, made from scratch all of the work components.

Está hecho completamente con plástico de alto impacto. En primer lugar se construyó el casco y luego la vela, para añadir finalmente los detalles. Para hacerlo me valí de planos y numerosas fotos de referencia.
It's made entirely with plasticard. First the hull and then the sail was built, to finally add details. To do this I relied on plans and numerous reference photos.

Toda la estructura también fue hecha en plasticard al igual que el submarino, tratando de representar lo más fielmente posible las construcciones reales. Para completar la escena agregué un par de vehículos y un contenedor.
The whole structure was also made in plasticard as was the submarine, trying to represent as closely as possible the actual construction. To complete the scene I added a couple of vehicles and a container.

La pintura fue realizada mayormente combinando esmaltes Humbrol, tratando además de lograr el efecto de desgaste propio del lugar.
The painting was done mostly by combining Humbrol enamels, also trying to achieve the own place weathering effect.
