El crucero ligero ARA La Argentina prestó servicio entre 1939 y 1974. El buque fue concebido con base en la clase británica Arethusa, siendo modificado de acuerdo a los requerimientos de la Armada Argentina, y para operar como unidad de escuela pero sin perder la capacidad de combate. El modelo está realizado completamente en scratch y para mejorarlo utilicé accesorios de White Ensign Models. Entre ellos, los sets para el HMS Penelope y para buques británicos anteriores a 1950 y botes salvavidas de resina. Finalmente, el Walrus proviene del kit del King of Wales de Tamiya. Además, por primera vez, realicé piezas en scratch (torretas principales, directores de tiro, etc.) y también fotograbados caseros para representar la plataforma a proa de la primer chimenea y las aberturas del puente.

The light cruiser ARA La Argentina served between 1939 and 1974. The ship was conceived based on the British Arethusa class cruisers, being modified according to the requirements of the Argentine Navy, and to operate as training ship, without losing war capability. The model is completely scratch built, and to improve it I used WEM accessories. Among them, HMS Penelope and pre-1950 British ships PE sets, and resin lifeboats. Finally, the Walrus proceed from the Tamiya's Prince of Wales kit. Also, for the first time, I made resin parts (main turrets, gun directors, etc) and homemade photo etched parts for the platform in front of the fore funnel and for the bridge openings.
