Este proyecto está realizado a partir del viejo kit de Airfix y se trata de una torpedera inglesa Vosper clase 1943-45. El kit presenta muchas falencias propias de su antigüedad, por lo que hay que realizar varias mejoras en él. El primer problema fue el mal encastre del casco, que afortunadamente pude solucionar. Por otro lado, se eliminaron de la cubierta la totalidad de las cunas de los torpedos, como así también la escala de popa. Estos elementos serán luego realizados en scratch. El puente de mando, que pensaba pintarlo por separado y luego unirlo al casco, debí pegarlo directamente a él debido a su mal encastre y los posibles inconvenientes de tener que ajustarlo a la cubierta una vez pintado. Asimismo se mejoró el deflector de viento del puente, afinando y detallando el original, así como también se trabajó la Oerlikon de 20mm agregando algunos detalles.
This project is based on the old Airfix kit and is an English class 1943-45 Vosper torpedo boat. The kit has so many flaws due to its age, so I have to make several improvements. The first problem was the bad fit of the hull, which fortunately I was able to solve. Furthermore, all of the torpedoes chocks were removed from the deck, as well as the stern steps. These elements will be made in scratch. The bridge, which I thought to paint separately and then attach to the hull, I had to glue it directly because of the bad fit and the possible inconveniences of having to fit it to the deck once painted. The bridge wind deflector was also improved, by thinning down and detailing the original, as well as the twin 20mm Oerlikon by adding some details.
A continuación les traigo imágenes de los trabajos finales de detallado y armado del kit en base a lo dicho anteriormente y con las piezas presentadas para tener una aproximación a cómo quedará el modelo una vez terminado. En especial se eliminaron los elementos de casco y cubierta que eran demasiado toscos o incorrectos y se mejoraron aquellas piezas que estaban escasamente detalladas de fábrica. Las antenas del mástil se realizaron a partir de alambre de cobre y se construyeron nuevamente las balsas salvavidas partiendo de las originales. Agregué un torpedo que irá posado sobre cubierta que me facilitó mi amigo y colega Sergio Bellomo. Así el modelo está listo para comenzar con la pintura.
Here I bring to you images of the final detailing and assembly jobs based on I said before and with the pieces presented together to have an approach of the model once completed. In particular, hull and deck elements that were too rough or incorrect were removed and those parts that were sparsely detailed were improved. The mast antennas were made from copper wire and the liferafts were constructed again from the original ones. I added a torpedo that will be posed on deck provided by my friend and colleague Sergio Bellomo. Thus, the model is ready to begin with painting.

Para la pintura final del modelo utilicé esmaltes Humbrol y realice el desgaste con óleos buscando representar el aspecto que poseían estas embarcaciones. Finalmente apliqué una capa de barniz satinado de AMMO.
For the final painting I used Humbrol enamels, weathering with oils seeking to represent the aspect that had these boats. Finally I applied a coat of AMMO satin varnish.
