El ARA Santa Fe (S-11) prestó servicio en la Armada Argentina durante la década del 60. Era una unidad de la calse Balao (ex USS MACABI SS-375), cedido por EE.UU., con su vela modificada en Argentina para mejorar la hidrodinamia y asemejarlo al standard Guppy I, luego aplicado al ARA Santiago del Estero (S-12). El kit utilizado el submarino clase Gato de 1941 de AFV Club, con la vela construida en scratch. Fue pintado con acrílicos Tamiya y desgastado con óleos.

The model represents the submarine ARA Santa Fe (S-11) in active service in the Argentine Navy during the 60's. This was a Balao-class unit (ex USS MACABI SS-375), given by the U.S., with her sail modified in Argentina to improve hydrodynamics and to make it similar to the Guppy I standard, applied before to the ARA Santiago del Estero (S-12). The kit used was the 1941 Gato class submarine from AFV Club, with a new scratchbuilt sail, painted with Tamiya acrylics and weathered with oil paints.
